Ayurvedic abhyanga massage

Duration 1h20 - €135

Abhyanga massage is one of the oldest practices in Ayurvedic medicine. From the tradition of northern India, this sacred medicine attributes to abhyanga massage virtues that go beyond the simple relaxing and invigorating effect of a massage.

The abhyanga massage produces multiple effects on the body :

  • It improves circulation, digestion, the functioning of the nervous system.
  • It also works on joints and muscle tone. On the emotional level, it brings serenity and fullness, by acting on mood, confidence and self-esteem.
  • It also causes an awareness of the body image.

The abhyanga massage is a massage that is both invigorating and enveloping, which alternates slow and deep maneuvers and more rhythmic and superficial maneuvers. Slow movements make it possible to identify the places of tension, while fast maneuvers release these same tensions. Thus, the same maneuver is performed first at a slow pace, then quickly, lightly and rhythmically. No part of the body is forgotten, from the scalp to the toes, including the fingers of the hand and the palms, areas where many tensions accumulate. The movements are slender on the limbs and circular on the joints, stomach and sides. They combine effleurages, acupressure, kneading and vibration, thus allowing an alternation of energy discharge and recharge.

Good to know : the abhyanga massage is ideal for people who are stressed and tense. It allows a total release of tension. Performed without musical accompaniment, it allows the person to become fully aware of all the parts of their body. The silence of the room, the heat of the oil and the alternation of gentle and long, then fast and rhythmic maneuvers allows a total release of stress. It is a real treatment, which creates total harmony between body and mind.

Available: bath linen, bathrobes, slippers, detox water or herbal tea to rehydrate after the treatment.

Aromatouch® body care

The AromaTouch® technique uses eight essential oils in 4 steps:

  • Step 1 – RELAX – reduce chronic stress – lavender & balance
  • Step 2 – SUPPORT – the immune system – tea tree & on guard
  • Step 3 - SOOTHE - physical inflammation & pain - deep blue & aromatouch
  • Step 4 – INVIGORATE – the body’s natural balance – sweet orange & mint

Thanks to this specific application technique, the oils stimulate the homeostasis of the body. Although a gentle technique, this treatment is extremely relaxing and energizing, providing a feeling of general well-being.
